Provides access to military and federal specifications and standards; more than 88,000 digital document images; and related DoD databases (including DSP standardization projects (SD-4), standardization points-of-contact (SD-1), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), MilSpec Reform management data, and HAZMAT/ODC data). Requires free registration.

Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System
This database contains basic facts about servicemen who served on both sides during the Civil War. The initial focus of the CWSS is the Names Index Project, a project to enter names and other basic information from 5.4 million soldier records in the National Archives. Other information will include: histories of regiments in both the Union and Confederate Armies, links to descriptions of 384 significant battles of the war, and other historical information.

DOD Dictionary of Military Terms
Searchable and browsable collection of military terms. Includes separate databases for acronyms/abbreviations and NATO-only terms.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue Database
Database contains primary materials on the U.S. military's policy on sexual orientation, from World War I to the present.

DTIC Online (Defense Technical Information Center)
This military site allows searching of Scientific and Technical Documents, as well as the DoD Index of Specifications and Standards.

Index to Military Periodicals
IMP is a subject index to significant articles, news items, and editorials from English language military and aeronautical periodicals.

POW/MIA Database
Contains information that relates to persons still unaccounted for as a result of the Vietnam War. From the Library of Congress.
Search engine which indexes pages from military web sites only.

Selective Service System Online Registration
Males aged 17-25 may use this form to register for the draft.
