National Saengerfest souvenirs, 1908

The 32nd National Saengerfest, held in Indianapolis on June 17-20, 1908, was one of the largest events held in Indianapolis up to that time. Over two thousand singers from across the United States joined together to present a series of five concerts. The audiences for the concerts numbered between 5,800 and 10,000 each. Other highlights included an address by Vice President Charles W. Fairbanks, a member of the Indianapolis Maennerchor. Indianapolis banker John P. Frenzel served as the treasurer of the North American Saengerbund.
